You're a first-time student if your expected high school graduation date is spring 2024, or you have already graduated from high school but have not enrolled at any college, university, or other school.

First-time students to 天美mv传媒 must submit:

• an application for admission
• college entrance exam scores
• an official record documenting completion of secondary requirements
• proof of immunization documenting 2 MMR vaccinations prior to registration.

If you have concurrent college credit, an official transcript from that institution is required. For Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or International Baccalaureate (IB) credit, original score reports or copies embossed by your high school will need to be submitted prior to credit being awarded.

A minimum criterion for unconditional admission is listed below:

1. Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale
2. Completion of Secondary School Core Curriculum

OR

1. Cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale
2. Completion of Secondary School Core Curriculum
3. Composite ACT* score of 19 or above, composite SAT score of 1010 or above on the RSAT scale of 1600 or a composite SAT score of 1330 on the former SAT exam with a scale of 2400, or a composite Next Generation ACCUPLACER score of 246. Note: The ACT Writing exam is not required for admission purposes but is required for Education majors
   

*The ACT will begin transitioning to a new, enhanced version of the exam. The Science section will no longer be required and will not be included in the composite score. Composite exam scores will now only include English, math, and reading. 天美mv传媒 will continue to accept the composite exam score as it is reported by ACT. 

Please note, first-time students admitted without test scores must submit either ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER scores for placement purposes prior to registration.

First-time students who have scored accordingly on an Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or International Baccalaureate (IB) can earn credit toward graduation at 天美mv传媒 by receiving a qualifying score on the examinations. These credits can satisfy general education requirements. AP, CLEP, and IB scores should be documented on your application for admission. Submit official score reports or readable copies embossed by your high school to the Office of Admissions. Students who have earned an International Baccalaureate (IB) should submit their IB transcript for evaluation. Students who successfully complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme can earn credit toward graduation at 天美mv传媒.

First-time students who do not meet unconditional admission requirements will be conditionally admitted with a minimum composite ACT score of 15, a composite SAT score of 850 or above on the RSAT scale of 1600 or a composite SAT score of 1060 on the former SAT exam with a scale of 2400, or a composite Next Generation ACCUPLACER score of 229, and by completing college core with a 2.0/4.0-grade point average or minimum GED score of 580.

You're a transfer student if you have enrolled at a college, university, or other school since graduating from high school.  Students who have never attended 天美mv传媒 must submit an application for admission, official transcripts from each institution previously attended, and proof of immunization documenting 2 MMR vaccinations prior to registration. 

 If transferring less than 24 credit hours, an official high school transcript and ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER scores must be submitted. Transfer students with more than 24 hours, who have not completed college level English or math, will be required to submit test scores.   

天美mv传媒 will recognize transfer credit from a U.S. institution provided that the institution is accredited by one of the six U.S. regional accreditation associations, and for courses that are approved for transfer by ADHE through ACTS. Acceptance of course credit may depend on the date that the institution was accredited or the date that a course was approved for transfer by ADHE.  

 Transfer credit for coursework from institutions outside the U.S. will be considered on an individual basis. Students seeking transfer of credit from a foreign college/university must complete a credential evaluation through a company authorized by Arkansas Tech University (a list of approved service providers can be obtained in the ISS or in the Registrar鈥檚 Office). Transfer credit, although accepted by the university, is not guaranteed to be applicable toward meeting degree requirements for the particular program of study selected by the transfer student. Once admitted, your academic advisor will determine which credits count toward your degree requirements. 

 Minimum grade point average requirements are listed below: 

1. All transfers must be eligible for re-enrollment at the last institution attended and have a cumulative college GPA of 2.0

You're a returning student if you have attended Arkansas Tech since graduating from high school.  Former students who have not attended Arkansas Tech in the past year or have attended another college or university since last attending 天美mv传媒 must submit a new application for admission. Minimum grade point average requirements are listed below:

• Has not attended another college since attending 天美mv传媒
  • Cumulative 天美mv传媒 GPA of 2.0 or higher
• Has attended another college since attending 天美mv传媒
  • Cumulative 天美mv传媒 GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Official college transcript(s) documenting a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Must be eligible for re-enrollment at the last institution attended

You're a non-degree seeking student if you are not pursuing an undergraduate degree or certificate but rather taking classes for professional development or self-fulfillment. Applicants may be admitted as non-degree undergraduate students upon submitting an application for admission and proof of immunization documenting 2 MMR vaccinations prior to registration. The standard admissions requirements are waived for all non-degree undergraduate students. Any student admitted as non-degree who later chooses to pursue a degree must reapply for admission as a degree-seeking student and meet standard admissions requirements. Financial aid benefits may not be granted to students admitted as non-degree seeking.  

You鈥檙e a transient non-degree undergraduate student if you are currently enrolled at another college or university and want to take classes at 天美mv传媒 without pursuing a degree or certificate. Students can be admitted as transient non-degree undergraduate students upon submitting an application for admission, a transcript from the regionally accredited college or university they are currently attending, and proof of immunization documenting 2 MMR vaccinations prior to registration. Applicants must be eligible for re-enrollment at their current institution.  

A maximum of 27 credit hours earned as a non-degree student may be applied to a degree program. Financial aid benefits may not be granted to students admitted as non-degree seeking. Students who are on probation or suspension at another university are not eligible for admission. 

Undergraduate applicants who live in Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas are considered in-state for tuition purposes. A limited number of out-of-state scholarship awards are made to applicants who live outside of Arkansas and its border states. 

Undergraduate students who possess resident alien status must submit their current green card with a future expiration date to the Office of Admissions prior to admission to the university. 

Undergraduate students who are not U.S. citizens, Permanent Residents of the United States, and who do not hold a visa to reside in the United States may be classified in-state for purposes of tuition and fees if the student satisfies the following two requirements: 

• Resided in Arkansas for at least three (3) years at the time of application to 天美mv传媒; and 

• Either: (i) Graduated from a public or private Arkansas high school; or (ii) Received a high school equivalency diploma in Arkansas. 

  The student must also satisfy one of the following:  

1. The student personally holds, or is the child of a person who holds, a Federal I 鈥� 766 United States Citizenship and Immigration Services-issued Employment Authorization Document, or as it is also known, a work permit; 

1. The student has verified that he or she is a resident legally in Arkansas and has immigrated from the Republic of the Marshall Islands; or 
2. (i)The student鈥檚 request for an exemption under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) has been approved by the United States Department of Homeland Security. (ii)The student鈥檚 exemption shall not have expired or shall have been renewed. 

You're an international undergraduate student if you are not a permanent resident or citizen of the United States or you have arrived (or are planning to arrive) in the United States on a U.S. visa, including students from Canada.

You're an international graduate student if you hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college verified by an official transcript.

You're a graduate student if you hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college verified by an official transcript.
